FAQs
How do I join the Penguins?
We are always on the hunt for fresh Penguins. So far 90 performers have collaborated with us and we take 45 penguins around the world each year.
Most of our rehearsals currently take place in London and our tours normally take place in school holidays.
If this sounds like your cup of fish chowder, please email us! If it’s a match, you’ll be invited for an interview!
What do you look for in a penguin?
Our brilliant Penguin performers are a pool of young professionals and people studying the arts in higher education. Most of our recruits have come from Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, in London.
We are super open to collaborating with new people and art forms, so if you’ve got a skill that you could incorporate into our kids shows, we’d love to hear from you!
How do I book a Penguin show in the UK?
If you want to book a Penguin show and/or workshop, send us an email. We can bring highly trained classical musicians and actors to you. We can also speak about our experience working with refugees and in different cultures around the world. If it’s for a school, you may also be interested in an FAQ session about applying to drama and music school.
How do I book a penguin show overseas?
You can see the countries WUP currently work in here. If you work with an NGO/ school in these countries do send us an email, and hopefully we can schedule you into our next tour.
If you are in a country we do not currently work in, it’s still worth sending us an email as we’re always keen to form new partnerships!
How do I include Wind-Up Penguin in my research project?
WUP have been featured in a number of research projects and case studies. We’re always happy to help in anyway we can, so please send us an email.
