Become the next generation of altruistic performers
Use your skills to make a difference.
From musical instruments and magic tricks to dancing, acting and acrobatics, each of our performers brings something unique to the show.
We work with people from the best conservatoires in the world and provide the training and space to allow them to use their skills in an altruistic way.
Share your passion for music and theatre.
Wind-Up Penguin performers get to share their craft with an audience of wonderful children who are hungry for music and theatre.
We want to create a network of performers engaged in creating social change.
Discover a new way to travel.
Music, dance and arts are global languages. Borders and boundaries turn to dust when you travel with a Penguin show. It’s the best way (in our entirely biased opinion) to share cultures and stories with people in the most remote corners of the world.
Here’s what past Penguins are saying:
“I had the most life-changing experience touring with WUP last summer in Lebanon. The work this company does is truly invaluable, the number of children it reaches across the world is remarkable and the smiles it brings to them is pure magic to witness!”
— Victoria Creighton (Lebanon 2017)
“The five tours I’ve done with Wind-Up Penguin have been amazing! My confidence with performing has come on leaps and bounds in ways that studying music alone in a conservatoire setting could never have done. Seeing how much the children benefit from our performances and workshops has made all the hours, days and years of practising so worth it ”
— Julia Hamilton (Belgium & Germany 2016, Jordan 2018, Serbia & Bosnia 2019, Brazil 2019, Poland, Turkey & Bulgaria 2022)
“‘You keep hearing how rewarding charity work is but the truth is you can’t even describe it until you experience it. Children were coming to me asking us to go back. That was one of the most beautiful experiences in my life ! ”
—Chavdar Mazgalov (Romania 2012 & 2013, Bulgaria 2014)
“The trip was educational and enriching in so many ways, and seeing so many kids let out their creativity and energy was joyful to be a part of. So a big thank you for your infectious passion.”
— Ross Carswell (Lebanon 2019)
